Dr. Sarah Ansbro
Hello! I am happy to be serving my hometown community. I trained at Baylor College of Medicine for medical school, then at the University of South Florida for residency. I published a couple papers along the way, became board certified, and taught and mentored quite a few students. I have two passions within my field. First, I have a passion for serving our LGBTQIA community here in San Antonio, including assistance with gender-affirming care. My second passion is to continue learning and exploring augmentation of allopathic medicine and psychotherapeutic techniques with holistic practices including meditation, Barnes-style myofascial release, reiki, and other modalities that help me to understand and better relate to my patients. My goal is to be able to speak the healing language that resonates best with you. I enjoy my daily Kriya yoga practice, skydiving, keeping fit, cooking, crochet, and sci-fi.

Jennifer Hill, PMHNP
I am originally from Austin but have lived in San Antonio for over a decade. I attended Texas Lutheran University where I received an undergraduate degree in biology and also had brief career in college basketball. I completed my BSN and MSN at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. I have two children and three dogs. I have practiced under the supervision of Dr. Ansbro since 2016 and excited to continue my career for many years with Cantera Psychiatry. I employ evidence based practice unified with clinical experience, education, and patient observation to provide the best treatment possible for each patient. I love what I do and believe every patient deserves to be treated with kindness and respect.

Monique Gonzalez, PMHNP
Hi, my name is Monique Gonzalez. I am originally from the Río Grande valley but have lived in San Antonio for 20 years. I received my post master’s certificate and Doctorate of Nursing Practice degree from Vanderbilt university. I have numerous years of experience working in the community for our underserved patients and individuals who have been incarcerated. My goal is to help guide my patients to achieve functionality in their daily lives through a healthy mind, body, and spirit. I enjoy traveling to new places and experiencing the new cultures for fun.

Tesla
Hi! My name is Tesla. I found my Forever Home in the Florida swamps in March 2015. I saw Mom from my pen, where I was hanging out with some skunks who also were looking for their Forever Homes. It was love at first sight. We came to Texas later that year, and now we have a cool house with a lot of grass and bushes to make my own!! I started coming to Cantera Psychiatry with Mom in 2017. I like meeting all the new people. Some of them want comfort, and I like to cuddle up next to them on the couch, trying my best to help them feel better. Some don’t feel comfortable around me, and that’s okay, I can just hang out in my bed and listen to you talk. For fun, I like bacon, peanut butter, bushes, and walks where I can see and smell more bushes.
