A s a native Texan with Mexican heritage, I am deeply honored to serve my hometown community of San Antonio. I completed my medical education at Baylor College of Medicine, followed by residency training at the University of South Florida.

My practice is shaped by two core passions. I am dedicated to providing comprehensive care to our LGBTQIA+ community, including specialized gender-affirming services—a commitment recognized through two Chamber Champion awards from the San Antonio LGBT Chamber of Commerce. Additionally, I believe in bridging traditional medicine with holistic approaches. By integrating evidence-based allopathic medicine and psychotherapeutic techniques with practices such as meditation, Internal Family Systems, Barnes myofascial release, and reiki, I strive to offer a truly personalized healing experience that resonates with each patient’s individual needs.

Outside of medicine, I enjoy Kriya yoga meditations, formation skydiving, fitness, culinary arts, crochet, and science fiction.

Dr. Hernandez Ansbro is currently enrolled in the first Global Majority (BIPOC LGBTQ+) IFS Level 1 training, to be completed December 2025.
